a nagging problem
hey!!! hi!! Hello
ok so i'll cut to the chase. the prologue of chapter 1 has always irked me. it has always been that one thing ive always really disliked. i have just found out exactly why that is. and fixing it has re-sparked a lot of my motivation write sisyphus. i was going through a crazy wild impostor syndrome issue about oh god am i doign things wrong!??!?!? turns out i dont have to burn down absolutely everything. i jsut have to nudge things and REVISE things. isn't that crazy?
now i have not published this new draft of prologue, i have to run it by joystix first. but its weird. for the first time i'm actually like. hah. proud of the prologue.
now, if you know what the old prologue looks like (hopefully not, its so bad pls,) you'll know that a sizable amount of shit was cut. this is a good thing i promise and it wasnt actually cut. well i mean minus one song but. a lot of the back end of prologue is being put onto day 1 because it's not hard to put it onto day 1. not like it's jsut me shoving it onto day 1 cuz its EASY no. no i fucking hate easy cop outs. no the reason is simple really. and fixes a lot of my issues with it i think. i'll detail more about what i mean whenever i publish it.
overall i like the prologue now, rewrote it. going to have to rewrite day 1 a little bit but it wont be much, just a lot of stuff in the beginning. also generally just me making more air to breathe because the same person who wrote day 1 and is writing day 3 are not the same person my taste has refined so hard for sisyphus and i am grasping a better style for it every day i write it or think about it
i think the best thing about the updated prologue is that it genuinely is a prologue. its perfect for a game. which sisyphus is. yknow. the issue with the original prologue is that it was trying to do too much. which. is weird. for a prologue. lol.
anyways that's all for now. ill stop rewriting after i publish the final prologue and day 1-2 (literally just me pushing things around with my fork it wont be drastic. well sort of for day 1 DJASDJSAHD IDK i GOTT it ok pls ok bye!!!!)
